Need hotel advice....going to improv and ikea!

Ok, so every year my husband takes me to Ikea and Pittsburgh for my birthday. This year we will leave on Saturday, check out some shopping possibly at the Waterfront, and have dinner and a show at the Improv...then back for the night. The next day we will hit up Ikea before heading home. Looking for a hotel that is possibly near the Improv (or offers a shuttle) and that we can easily get to Ikea from the next morning. We have stayed downtown in the past but possibly want to try something else this time...any advice would be appreciated!

THANKS!

There is only 1 hotel at the Waterfront: Courtyard Pittsburgh West Homestead/Waterfront

Also, my advice is not to eat at the Improv. Eat at Rock Bottom, right across the street from the Improv. Food is really good!

And, Waterfront and IKEA are not near each other. IKEA is about a 30 minute drive from the Waterfront.

If you want any other questions answered, let me know.

Maybe you could stay somewhere in the middle, like the South Side or Greentree. As the previous poster said they are nowhere near each other.

Staying at the Waterfront is probably your best plan. Assuming Columbus in your profile is Columbus, Ohio, then IKEA is conveniently on your way home.

Yeah, that will probobly be what we do...go to Ikea on the way home. Would like to stay at the Waterfont...except it is not on priceline, and the deals on name your own price are too good to be true. Anywhere ppl can suggest besides directly at the waterfront that may be on priceline...or at least point my towards an area near there so the drive isnt that bad? I heard south side and I heard Greentree...any others or stick with those?

Try the downtown 4 star hotels. People seem to be getting great deals on the Renaissance.

did so and got the omni which we love for $60! thanks!

That%26#39;s a great price, congrats!
