HELP! I waited way too long to book a hotel. After looking up rates online, reading reviews, etc. I had narrowed down our choices to either Fultons, Willow Valley, BW Revere, or possibly Bird-in-Hand...but here%26#39;s the thing...none of them are available any longer! I was willing to pay more money for these places because I figured they were nicer and weren%26#39;t just your run of the mill hotel chains. However, I do not want to pay $150+/night for just a regular chain hotel. Does anyone have any other good hotel suggestions? My travel dates are August 21-24. So far I am considering Sleep Inn %26amp; Suites in Ronks, Red Roof Inn in Lancaster (mostly because it is cheap and if we can%26#39;t find a ';nicer'; hotel we probably won%26#39;t be spending much time at the hotel anyway other than to sleep), or the Holiday Inn Express at the Outlets. But believe me, I am not sold on any of these places and I am really hoping to come up with better alternatives. Any ideas??? Thanks!

Try the hawthorne inn and suites. It%26#39;s in a strange location, wedged in between 462 and rt 30, but it%26#39;s usually inexpensive, very clean, and a decent free breakfast. I go there, when I can%26#39;t get into my favorite place the revere inn. Also, did you call the hotels you want. Sometimes they are still available on the phone, vs. online. The hawthorne rooms are a little on the small side, but they are very modern decor, and as I said, very clean. My son stayed one night at the holiday inn express, and I stay at hie%26#39;s a lot, but I found the one in lancaster, truly lacking. I wouldn%26#39;t sleep there. I%26#39;m very finicky where I sleep. Also, did you look into the best western eden inn. I think they are a little out of the way, but they have very modern clean rooms. Also look into the amish view inn, however, I think they are expensive. Good luck, and be persistent. Enjoy. I%26#39;m counting down, I%26#39;ll be back in 2 weeks. By the way, I%26#39;m probably (not 100% sure yet) giving up a family suite at the best western revere inn. I have 3 rooms booked. I will know by wed. or thurs, the 13, or 14 of this month if I am giving it up. It would be available for fri, sat, sun, nights, 15, 16, 17 of Aug. This room has 2 queens, and a sleeper sofa. Maybe these are your dates? message me if they are.

The Best Western Village Inn %26amp; Restaurant is in the heart of Intercourse. It%26#39;s available for the nights you want at $110 a night. The restaurant%26#39;s meals are all delicious. They are home cooking style. The rooms are a little small, but you can walk everywhere from there.
You might want to try the Amish Country Motel on RT
340 in Bird-In-Hand. It is owned by the Smucker family. The same owners of the Bird In Hand Family Inn. The motel is clean and comfortable with a nice
outdoor pool. We have been there many many times.
We are just finishing up our trip to the Lancaster area and heard from a friend about a great little motel in Bird in Hand. It is called the Orchard Inn and is nice and quiet. It doesn%26#39;t have all the fancy things, no phone in the room, but you do have a small refrigerator and microwave. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms clean. Very refreshing to stay in a place like this after staying in many high cost hotels and having dirty bathrooms, stained carpeting and yucky beds.
The setting is just a 1/2 mile off a main drag, but situated between an orchard. You do get a continental breakfast and they have little bistro tables outside in a court yard area to sit at. Outside each room is also 2 chairs to take in the quiet country nights.
Will definetly be using this motel again as it is so convenient, priced right, clean and the motel folks as friendly as can be.
JJJB, sorry, didn%26#39;t read properly.. You don%26#39;t have the same dates as me. Did you find a place?
I needed a room one time at a moments notice ( actually needed a room immediatly) and I was accomidated.

This is the info, you can see more at www.padutchcountry.com.
I hope this will be of some help. I know it%26#39;s not in the heart of the area but it%26#39;s only about five miles from Intercourse area. The important thing is getting a room.
Please lets us know how you make out.

Right now I have a reservation booked at the Sleep Inn %26amp; Suites in Ronks. I am not 100% happy with that, but I waited way too long to book something. I was hoping to get either the Amish View Inn or the Orchard Inn, but both places were already booked, too! Lancaster is a popular place!
That%26#39;s to bad your booked, the Orchard Inn is nice, quite and right down the street from Kaufmann%26#39;s Market. We%26#39;ve stayed at Orchard a few times. In the evening you sit out side and hear the horse and buggy clopping down the road.
Peaceful, if you know what I mean. I hope you enjoy yourself and emember, your just using the room to sleep.It%26#39;s what you see and do that counts.
Have a safe trip and enjoy.
God Bless,
